Labels for microcentrifuge tubes and other containers are temperature resistant from -40 degree C to 121 degree C and can be used in boiling water baths, autoclaving, and moderate freezer temperatures. Chemically inert, polyester sheets resist most organic solvents and caustic agents. They adhere to most plastics, glass and metals without cracking, peeling or degrading. Tubes labeled with Tough-Tags easily slide in and out of centrifuge rotors without binding. Label sheets are specially top-coated to readily accept laser printing. Heat-resistant, stay-flat sheets will not jam in laser printers.

These white labels are ideal for the identification of cassettes routinely used in tissue and biopsy embedding and processing. They can be printed with most brands of thermal transfer barcode printers using TC-class ribbons. Will not acquire coloration from histological stains and will maintain the white background through staining procedures.
For the best adherence and chemical resistance, they are recommended to be used on smooth surface cassettes. They can withstand solvent and chemical exposures in xylene for 2 hours, ethanol 100% for 8 hours, and hot paraffin wax for 2 hours. Preliminary testing is strongly recommended for use in automated vacuum tissue processors.
